They say your 20s are a playground.
The years to explore, learn, make mistakes, and grow. Even though you are an adult, in your parents' eyes, you are still considered a child.
So, when you make avoidable mistakes, you are forgiven, with the hope that you’ve learned your lesson and won’t be found wanting again.
Then come your 30’s.
The so-called prime of your life. A time when you are expected to be fully grown, a true adult in every sense. Now, you must play the part, carrying yourself with wisdom and composure befitting your age. Mistakes are no longer easily forgiven; You are expected to have figured it all out.
But what they don’t tell you is this: Your 20s aren’t all that different from your 30s.

For one, nothing truly changes overnight. Unresolved baggage from your 20s follows you into your 30s. If you're not careful, you’ll repeat the same mistakes, ones you assumed experience would shield you from.
No age holds a monopoly on wisdom. With each passing year, what truly matters is not the number, but your perspective on life and your willingness to evolve.
Whichever age this newsletter finds you at, I hope you make the best of it.
Learn, unlearn, relearn and expand yourself.
Don’t be the proverbial basket that can’t withhold water.
Labour if you need to—hard work never kills.
Work smart, yes, but also apply the effort needed.
Don’t spend your time expending energy on things that don’t matter. Build! Build! Again I say: Build.
Paint a picture of how you would want your life to be. Set goals, realistic goals and work towards them.
Fail at something but don’t quit.
Find a cause and live for it. Be enthusiastic and passionate enough.
Remember , this life won’t get a duplicate.
Make sure yours count for something and while at it, don’t forget to rest, build lasting relationships, fall in and out of love, have fun and create lasting memories with the people and things you love.
Above all, hold fast to your faith.
On the days when everything else fails you, you can always bank on and rely on God to see you through.
Like Global Temi would say, God cannot mismanage your life.
As the curtains to my 30th draws to an end, I thought to sound like a ‘Sis’ for once, a letter to myself and also to you who read me not minding how cliche it might sound to some of you.
